    AnimeOfTheState, I DO get it!
    1) Accusing somebody of hating America is an inherently irrelevant accusation because it’s born out of a totalitarian concept that shouldn’t apply to America.
    2) I KNOW a white person could be born outside of the US & not qualify, but the point is that neither McCain nor Obama fit this description of not-qualifying
    3) (My perspective is NOT clouding my sight) Accusing a citizen of not being culturally American has unspoken motivation. You changed the subject.

OH MY GOD! Soon we will be just like Socialist Europe or Socialist Canada. Higher life expectancy, lower infant mortality, health care for everyone. And you know, with all of the taxes, you NEVER see any rich Europeans. What a horrible system.

    Someone’s Naked here and I don’t think it’s Obama….

    Blood,
You dont seem to get it.
1)A person can hate America (I am not necessarily agreeing that Obama does, though his wife said she was proud to be and American for the first time in her life), without being black.
    2) A person could be born outside the US and be White and not qualify.
    3) An Italian can be culturally non-American.
I think that your perspective is clouding your sight :)
And Obamas certainly not immune making scantily clad racist remarks or playing the race card, ie Gatesgate.

    What about McCain?

Liberals didn’t say John McCain is not an American, despite the fact that he was actually born in Panama. Liberals never pressed this issue. If it had been the other way around, and the Democratic candidate was white, but born South of the United States border, conservatives would have had a field day with all sorts of bogus accusations that this hypothetical white Democratic candidate for president was a secret Mexican or an illegal!

Yes I have read it. It’s on the US Government’s site for the public’s review. Sorry if I can’t reply to you every second. Some of us have jobs.

The only State that ever went Bankrupt was Liberal NY. The govt had to bail them out back in the 70s if I remember correctly. Now, California, and MA have their toes hanging off the precipice, and still the spend and refuse to make the necessary cuts.
Our debt has climbed to 1.27 Trillion today and going up faster than the meter in a Chicago Taxi. It is now larger than ALL the deficits in American History….COMBINED!!!!!
And we havent even spent the allocated roughly 10 Trillion yet .

Homeschooler7, I tend to think too many of us liberals do inappropriately make the accusation of racism against people. But this should not prevent me from calling out thinly-veiled racism when I see it.

Look all over this comment board. There is code language all over the place for what people really feel about Obama. People think Obama hates America, people question Obama’s citizenship, people don’t even think Obama is culturally American!

What do you THINK this all means?

Under Nixon the first health care reform was passed due to sky rocketing medicaid cost.
The answer then was Managed Care, that was the crack in the door. HMO lobbyists realizing the enormous profits to be made eventually kicked the door in.
That caused private insurances to adopt that scheme and prices to sky rocket at the same pace as govt health schemes.

    you see, sha44ss??!??

You see what I mean? The birther issue is not part of a lie. I bet he was trying to protect the privacy of his family. We wouldn’t even be talking about this if the man’s name was Newt Gingrich, whose real name is Newton Leroy McPherson. The Obama birther issue is just a clever outlet for fearful xenophobes to express their outrage at the fact that the country has finally progressed beyond only being willing to elect White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestants as its President.

That’s what I thought.1] I wasn’t having a conversation w/ you to begin w/, so you just came in and started blurting /o shit when you had no idea what myself and the other party were debating.
If ppl are pushing this bill and don’t have a fuck what it even entails, they need to keep their mouth shut.

You ppl make me sick, all you know is that it’s something free!

    It’s funny!

With George W. Bush, no liberal ever accused Bush of not being an American. Many liberals said, “not my president,” and many liberals said he “stole the elction,” but no liberal ever accused George W. Bush of not being an American

It’s amazing how, when we end up with a president who finally is not a White-Anglo-Saxon-Protestant (with the exception of JFK who was Catholic), that fear of “the other” rears its ugly head. In modern times, people have to hide it behind bogus issues

When liberals can’t debate their position you disagree with about Obama’s policies, they call you a racist. This is to derail the discussion to distract from their inability to justify their position. Did you watch Spector’s townhall yesterday? Many of the people asking the questions read the bill and knew more about it than the politicians, and the liberals call us dumb? They are the lemmings following the Pied Piper right into socialism without a fight. Not us! Obama is a liar, plain & simple

The govt “option” is not a option. It is a plan to force socialism and a very big mistake for the socialists trying to push it. What they don’t realize that the US constitution will finally snap into full effect as there will be a major backlash based on the 10th amendment.

I’m actually hoping that the socialists blunder into this. It will serve to awaken the sleeping giant that is the core of this country which will knock down the federal govt back to it’s intended size.

yes a Much larger issue! IT WAS HIS FIRST LIE!
no one spends a million dollars to hide all his records. If I give you my name & address I bet you could find our Everything about ME, including where I was born and went to school and my school records etc. All we know REALLY about him is what he has written and alot of that has been debunked too-LIES!

AnimeOfTheState, I agree that too many liberals inappropriately use the accusation of racism. However, that shouldn’t preclude liberals from calling it out, when it’s apparent! Notice that I NEVER said anybody was a racist…yet. I’m detecting strong xenophobic undertones, but not racism. The evidence is pretty strong right now. You don’t need to have used a slur.

Just because a non-African American is married to an African American does not mean that this person is not capable of racism.

sha44s, the reason Mitt Romney’s plan is failing in Massachusetts is because he still kept the private sector as the main priority, instead of having the citizen & the patient as the main priority.

I can easily see that you’re willing to look for any excuse to day that Obama isn’t culturally American. I really think this is being set up as an excuse for something else. You’re forgetting that Obama also was raised in the US.

This Obama birther thing is part of a larger issue.

Well, that sounds typically Liberal. If we dont like the mans politics it must be (insinuated ) racism.
You remind me of a lady that came into my store and talked smack with one of the employees. she then accused her racism. The employee was married to a African American.

carreellee, there’s an elephant-in-the-room, so to speak, and very few people are willing to talk about it! The private health insurer is the main reason for what drives medical costs up. The reason Mitt Romney’s plan “DOESN’T WORK,” is that the plan didn’t cut out the private insurer.
A crucial totalitarian principle is that the state is identified with the people, the culture, the society. For those who adopt that principle, criticism of the state is hatred of the country. Obama loves America
