Progressive Pet Insurance offers coverage to pets that are seven weeks old and above. It is one of the very few pet insurance companies that do not have an upper age limit for pets, which is beneficial for pet parents with pets aged 15 years old or even more. You can choose a deductible for Progressive Pet Insurance accidental and illness plans, ranging from $50 to $1000. The annual reimbursement limits are also flexible and offer 70%, 80%, and 90% reimbursement percentages. Pet parents can choose an annual limit of $5,000 or unlimited.

The average Progressive Pet Insurance quote for cats is $28 to $34, while the average Progressive dog insurance is between $35 and $40. 

Prices are also determined by whether you have chosen the Essential, Plus, or Elite plan. For example, a 6-year-old dog can cost between $14.27 to 63.82 with Essential Plan; $16.65 to $74.75 with Plus Plan; and $17.42 to $77.91 with Elite Plan. Progressive Pet Insurance vs Embrace

Like Progressive, Embrace pet insurance also offers cover accidents and illnesses. However, it does not have a wellness plan, like Progressive. Rather, it has a type of savings account known as the Embrace Wellness Rewards program which allows pet parents to spread their pet’s preventive and wellness care expenses over the year.

However, if you are looking for discounted plans, Embrace offers the most choices, particularly for pet parents in New York. Embrace also offers a Diminishing Deductible for healthy pets, and if you don’t file a claim in a year, you will be given $50 off in the next year.

Progressive Pet Insurance vs. Healthy Paws

Unlike Progressive, Healthy Paws pet insurance does not cover preventive or wellness care. But the company is known as one of the very best pet insurance providers in the industry. It also offers lifetime pet insurance policies and excellent coverage without any payout limits.

Healthy Paws also covers hip dysplasia for pets under six years of age. Pets can also be enrolled up to 14 years of age, but Progressive takes the cake in this department as it gives no upper age limits for the enrollment of cats and dogs. However, unlike Progressive, Healthy Paws does not cover the examination fee of the vet.
